DDA Introduces Changes in the 2021 Master Plan of Delhi

The Delhi Development Authority or DDA on Tuesday has introduced an amendment in the Master Plan of Delhi 2021. Now the bank’s lockers of existing banks can be opened in the basements of its premises. The decision was reached at during the authority meeting of the urban body that was chaired by Lt Governor Anil Baijal at the Raj Niwas, the DDA statement revealed.

The authority also gave its consent to a proposal for modification in the development control norms which allowed following activities on religious (category) plots at sub-city level: yoga training center, spiritual activities and meditation, devotees or management staff, canteen, restaurant, langar hall or community kitchen and bank extension counter, museum or art gallery or exhibition centre, auditorium, accommodation for preachers, ATM facility or prayer halls.

The approved proposals will now be sent to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs for consideration and final notification. Moreover, restaurants on the ground floor will only be allowed if it has all the necessary clearances as existing on 18/09/2019 on notified mixed-use streets. The authority also gave a green signal to the reduction of permission charges for the usage of additional activity under the educational category plots.

Other decisions that were taken in the meeting include rationalization of the cost of one-bedroom flats at Ram Garh Colony in Jahangirpuri. The authority also gave green signal to the approved concessions for allottees of different DDA housing schemes who have been allotted flats under Persons with Disability (PWD) category.
